Não conheço o álbum de 2009, se alguém puder mandar pra mim, agradeço! Este disco de estréia é muito bom, mais uma excelente banda Italiana de progressivo.
Filoritmia were founded in Milan in September, 1993 but it was only in 1997 that the band found the ideal line up, when Roberto Riccardi (guitars) and Matteo Scarparo (bass) joined the historical nucleus formed by Angelo D'Ariano (keyboards), Antonio Mazzucchelli (drums) and Giorgio Mele (vocals). The band alternated live performances to periods dedicated to composition when each member gave his contribution into a fusion of energies. In September 2000 they released their first eponymous album, completely self-produced.
According to the band it's hard to define their style: "It could be rocky, funky, jazzy, delicate or sharp, smooth and simple or full of sudden changes. We like breaking the rhythm and those patterns that we ourselves have created. Everything is a tool to create an atmosphere or a feeling through the music. First of all, we'd like to point out that, though most of the people consider our music as progressive, we think it's hard to compare us with any other progressive band, be it old or new. Even if we all love the classics of progressive rock (we love certain songs of PFM, BANCO DEL MUTUO SOCCORSO, AREA, GENESIS, MARILLION), we don't draw our inspiration from any particular muse"
